The best time for lure fishing has begun! 12.10.2026, David Havlíček

The best time of year for lure fishing is here – and you can really feel it!

Predator activity is increasing every day, and our catches, along with your messages and photos, prove it. Zander, pike, perch, autumn asp and catfish are showing up more and more frequently. And the catches include some fantastic trophy fish – from big pike and zander to seriously impressive perch!

We've also had great success with some new, still-secret colours of our Kicker and KiXter lures, which you'll find in our advent calendar. The Mandula is performing brilliantly too, including its newest and largest size yet.

Another reliable choice is the Nymph in all sizes, along with our proven Kicker and KiXter lures. When it comes to colours, every water is different. Classic shades work well in some places, while Tutti Frutti completely steals the show in others. It's definitely worth giving it a try!

So don't wait around – get out there and go fishing. The best season is just getting started!

Expedition to Sweden marked by 10 personal bests! 21.09.2026, David Havlíček

On this year's expedition, we primarily focused on rarer fish species and their trophy sizes. The reward for our effort and perseverance was catching several salmon over 90 cm, giant lake trout (namaycush, the largest 88 cm), perch over 40 cm (several even 45 cm), decent pike (the biggest 112 cm), and of course grayling around half a meter and large trout 60 cm+. We lost a few giant fish, but that’s just part of the game. Our most successful lures were naturally our Redbass nymphs, Moresilda spoons for salmon, and DAIWA crankbaits. Pike responded very well to Jointed lures from 3STAN, and perch were eager to strike the 7 cm KiXter.

Tropical summer heat isn't very favorable for fishing. However, those who put in the effort and look for oxygen-rich waters will still catch fish. Surface lures are the real highlight of this summer, bringing in mostly chub, asp, and the occasional pike. We've also been targeting catfish, but mostly smaller ones are biting. We're mainly getting ready for the zander season, but every now and then one comes along—and one was truly worth it! An 86 cm beauty isn't something you catch every day!

We also visited several youth fishing camps and organized a lure fishing program for the kids!

A Tropical Start to the 2026 Season 30.06.2026, David Havlíček

The 2026 fishing season began with tropical heat and reduced fish activity. During periods like these, it is especially important to handle every catch with the utmost care. Ideally, fish should remain in the water during handling, kept out of it only for the shortest time necessary, and released as quickly and safely as possible.

At this time of year, the most effective approaches are night fishing and using topwater lures. The most common catches have been chub, with the occasional pike or zander. So far, we have not specifically targeted catfish or asp.

The recent drop in temperatures gives us hope that time spent by the water will be more enjoyable not only for anglers but also for the fish themselves. We believe the cooler weather will increase fish activity and help ensure that every released fish returns safely to its natural environment.

Fishing in a pike paradise on the Åland Islands 12.05.2026, David Havlíček

At the turn of April and May, I visited the Åland archipelago with my friends Zdeněk (from CK Pepa) and Marek, focusing primarily on pike fishing. During the first few days, we discovered that the pike there reacted exceptionally well to our largest Redbass nymph (XXL – 20 cm), which proved highly effective near the reed beds. Catches of 90, 92, 98, and 100 cm are a testament to that. It wasn't just the trophy pike; even those in the 60–80 cm range took the lure reliably. In open water, the XXL Kicker worked brilliantly several times, while on other days in the same spots, smaller versions of this excellent lure (XXL – 15.5 cm) performed better. We caught the most fish using the Super Natur color. During this trip, I particularly enjoyed fishing with the Prorex AGS baitcasting rod (40–80 g) paired with a 25 Ryoga 100 reel. This combo, along with the Ballistic Air setup (18–56 g) and a Luvias 5000 reel, was a real treat to use. I also had a few zander on the line, but unfortunately, they got off.
