Description
The Nories Pelican Minnow 50F is a minnow-type lure that casts much farther than you'd expect!
The Pelican Minnow 50F is specifically designed for lake trout fishing. It features a slim 50 mm body and is equipped with a thick “pelican” lip positioned in the center of the lure. The key advantage of this entirely new “Pelican Lip” concept is the thickness of its central portion, which extends all the way to the tip of the lip. By increasing the volume of the lip, the lure’s center of gravity shifts forward, enabling it to start working immediately upon hitting the water.
The thickness of the body creates resistance, which suppresses the movement of the lure’s front and focuses the action on the tail. As a result, strikes occur mainly at the tail, fully utilizing the benefit of the rear-mounted single hook. Another major advantage is the improved casting ability — a common weakness of long-bill minnows. The pelican lip acts like a stabilizing fin, keeping the lure properly aligned in flight.
The recommended retrieval method is “stop and go.” The lure is compatible with a wide range of retrieval speeds, from slow to fast. It’s an ideal choice for anglers who prefer the active "minnowing" style that triggers fish to strike. This lure is especially suited for technically skilled trout anglers fishing in managed trout areas.
