Copper lenses
Copper lenses help enhance contrast and improve depth perception when viewing objects such as fish against a blue background. We recommend copper lenses because they also provide excellent clarity and help reduce eye strain. In addition, they are particularly suitable for use in the early morning and evening, making it significantly easier to spot fish.
Mirror coating
This feature is purely cosmetic and does not affect visibility through the lenses. The true lens colour can only be seen from the outside. The highly reflective mirror coating also prevents others from seeing the wearer's eyes.
Hydrophobic coating
Imagine how much better you can see in the rain with hydrophobic lenses. This coating creates a protective barrier on the lens surface, preventing water from adhering to the lenses and reducing the risk of long-term water damage. It also minimises the need for frequent cleaning and makes the cleaning process easier.
UV400 protection
This treatment protects your eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation, providing 100% protection against UVA, UVB, and UVC rays.
Scratch-resistant coating
Despite advances in lens technology, no lenses are completely scratch-proof – not even glass lenses. However, Leech lenses are treated with a clear hard coating on both the front and back surfaces, making them considerably more resistant to scratches.
Polycarbonate (PC)
By injection-moulding polycarbonate around the polarised material, we create these high-quality lenses. Polycarbonate is an extremely durable material that is highly resistant to impact and breakage. PC lenses offer excellent optical clarity, while the polarisation efficiency reaches 99%.
