Ballistic Air takes innovation to the next level thanks to AIRDRIVE DESIGN, ensuring unprecedented lightness and exceptionally smooth retrieval. The new Zaion V rotor, a key component of AIRDRIVE DESIGN, reduces weight and increases sensitivity, providing perfect control at every stage of fishing.

The Zaion Monocoque (MQ) body allows for the use of a larger gear, increasing power and durability, while the absence of traditional side screws ensures a more compact design and better resistance to the elements.

Perfect for ultra-light and medium spinning in both freshwater and saltwater, the Ballistic Air is available in sizes from 2000 to 4000 and is protected by Magsealed technology, making it ideal for use in brackish waters.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN is a new construction concept developed to improve spinning reels by optimizing their lightness, smoothness, and reducing rotational inertia without compromising strength.

AIRDRIVE ROTOR
The new AIRDRIVE ROTOR, designed to reduce rotational inertia, maintains strength and durability, while weighing less than its predecessor, the Air Rotor, thanks to significant design improvements.

AIRDRIVE BAIL
The bail is thinner, lighter, and yet more durable than its predecessor. Its angle has been adjusted to improve line flow to the guide roller.

AIRDRIVE SPOOL
The spool is designed to provide smooth operation in terms of weight and functionality. The anti-twist deflector and revised clicker mechanism contribute to a better user experience.

MONOCOQUE BODY
The MONOCOQUE BODY technology provides the reel with extreme structural rigidity and increased load resistance. The one-piece body also allows for a larger drive gear, improving rotation and power transfer. The MQ concept also increases resistance to dirt and saltwater, thereby extending the overall lifespan of the reel.

TOUGH DIGIGEAR
With TOUGH DIGIGEAR technology, the gears have been enlarged compared to the original version, ensuring even better performance in terms of reliability and long-term durability.

MAGSEALED BODY
This technology uses a special magnetized oil membrane to seal the shaft exit from the body, preventing water from entering. The absence of water and dust inside the body protects the mechanisms from corrosion and extends the reel’s lifespan. The BALLISTIC AIR model uses this system to protect the reel body, maintaining smooth operation, reducing friction, and enhancing the overall fishing experience.

FRONT DRAG
The new ATD-Type L drag, borrowed from the flagship Exist model, is even smoother and more progressive, improving modulation and reducing line load.
