Description
The 27 BG SW series was developed for demanding saltwater fishing, where maximum winding power, durability and drag performance are essential. At the heart of the reel is DAIWA's latest Powerdrive Design technology, previously used only in the latest flagship Saltiga and Certate SW models. The Powerdrive Rotor provides exceptional rigidity while improving rotational inertia, reel balance and overall sensitivity, allowing anglers to fish comfortably without fatigue. The oversized Power Digigear system is almost as large as the one found in DAIWA's MQ construction, delivering excellent power transmission, outstanding durability and tremendous winding power even under extreme loads. It is easy to maintain and ensures a long service life. Additional sealing of the reel body helps minimise the ingress of saltwater and dirt, ensuring greater reliability and a longer lifespan in demanding marine conditions. The Crank Power Bail guides the line smoothly and efficiently towards the line roller. Optimised geometry and improved mechanisms prevent accidental bail closure while enhancing line management, especially during jigging and under heavy loads. The ABS Long Cast aluminium spool features an integrated rubber ring that prevents smooth braided line from slipping under load. The ATD Tough Drag system with carbon washers provides consistently high drag performance, immediate line release and significantly higher maximum drag power compared to the previous model.
Size 6000-PH comes with a size S round handle knob. Size 6000-H is equipped with a size S egg-shaped handle knob. Sizes 8000-P to 20000 feature a size L egg-shaped handle knob.
