Hyper Drive construction made in Japan for finesse fishing with small lures.

The new Steez LTD CT reel is essentially equipped with all of DAIWA’s latest innovations and, thanks to its super-light 30mm G1 duralumin spool, is particularly suitable for fishing with smaller lures weighing approximately 5g–30g. The magnesium body makes the reel extremely lightweight in hand, allowing for long fishing sessions without fatigue.

With a gear ratio of 8.5:1 and a line retrieve of 80cm per turn, it is the fastest reel in the CT family.

The Hyper Drive design concept ensures perfect alignment of all internal components. Thanks to Hyper Double Support technology, the pinion shaft is supported by two ball bearings, creating an almost contact-free connection with the pinion gear, resulting in extremely quiet and silky-smooth rotation. Power transmission from the handle and overall sensitivity are significantly improved. The CNC-machined Hyper Digigear gears are extremely durable and offer a long service life.

For the Ultimate Casting Line Guard, several improvements have been made to the TWS system. By modifying the size and angle of the TWS, friction has been reduced and casting distance increased. This also enables the use of thin braided PE lines.

In the ultra-light Ultimate Casting spool design, the use of G1 Duralumin has significantly reduced overall weight and initial spool inertia, which greatly enhances casting performance.

The Ultimate Casting magnetic brake with SV Boost system provides longer casting distances and reduces the risk of backlash through a two-stage magnetic inductor system. The Ultimate Casting Zero Adjuster regulator has been redesigned so it can no longer be easily adjusted. Thanks to advancements in magnetic brake technology with the SV Boost system, it is no longer necessary to set spool tension using a mechanical brake on these DAIWA reels. All necessary casting adjustments can be made solely via the magnetic brake. The drag system also features a clicking sound when the line is released
